Modified on Thu, 19 May, 2022 at 10:31 AM

By the end of this Information article you will be able to:

  • Create stages for tables in the POS from the PMS
  • Identify tables which are beyond the time limits set for specific stages
  • Change stages of a table within the POS

Create stages for tables in the POS from the PMS

Navigate to Configuration > Outlets > Preparation and complete the relevant details within the stages section as per the outlet selected above.  In the example below stages are being applied to Book at The Dish Dinner outlet

Via a right click in this area INSERT a new record, following this the Insert keyboard button can be used

  • Order: The order that the stage appears in the list
  • Code: The code that appears on the POS to define the stage the table is at
  • Stage: The full name of the stage
  • Duration: The Duration of this stage before the table should be moved to the next stage
  • Col: The colour indicator for the stage

Once the relevant stages have been entered press save

The Copy button allows for the stages created to be replicated for different outlets.  Simply click the button and select the Outlets that the stages should be copied to.

Apply stages to a table within the POS

After the stages have been completed it is necessary to re-open the POS in order for these changes to take affect

As soon as the order is saved, the first stage is attached to the order below the server name and identified with the stage code and colour.

The number relates to the time (in minutes) that the table has been at this stage.  At 80% of the allotted minutes for this stage the number will turn and be circled red showing this table requires attention

Tables requiring attention can also be identified from the Open Orders list as the text of the stage field will be red

Change stages of a table within the POS

The stage of the table will not change automatically.  To change the stage simply click on the stage code within the order to progress the table to the next stage.  This is a circular process so if the wrong stage is select simply carry on clicking until the desired stage is found
