How to set up Self-Catering Rates on the HART WBE

At the end of this article you will be able to;

• Set up the WBE  self-catering rate plan
• Create a Product type
• Create the self-catering rates

This article is written for users that are familiar with the setup of rate plans and the loading of new rate plans on the HART WBE.

Set up the WBE  self-catering rate plan

Self-catering rates are set up via the cloud but first, you need to have a rate plan in HART PMS that has zero rates.

This rate plan is used for HART web bookings only and you should have a separate rate plan for manual bookings.

Set up your rate plan as usual in HART PMS but with zero prices. 

Next, add the HART WBE channel under the channel tab. Log in to the cloud navigate to Reservations > Rates > Rate plans and press the refresh button to sync across the rate plan you have just added.

Run a sync in HART PMS under Sales > Restrictions > Sync button

If you have not already created a product please see the below steps;

To Create a Product.

Log in to the cloud and navigate to Hotel > Configuration and the product tab. Press the Add new record button and enter the below information.

• ID: this will automatically populate when you press the save changes button
• Unit: choose the unit from the drop-down box if applicable to your hotel
• Order: free type the order number that you wish the product to appear in 
• Name: free type the name of the product, this appears in the product window on your website
• Details: free type the details 
• Product Type: choose self-catering from the drop-down box
• Active: tick here is this product is active

Press the Saves changes button.

Adding a picture to the product

Navigate to Hotel > pictures and choose the unit from the dropdown if appliable, choose Product Type Image in the upload field and self catering in he Product type file.

Press the select files button, and choose the file path weher the image is stored adn press upload.

Next, go to  Room> Rate plan and navigate to the rate plan, add in your confirmation number, and assign the product as usual.

Create your rates

Navigate to Reservations > Bookings > Self-catering.

• Product: choose the product from the drop-down box if you are using products 
• Room Type: choose the room type from the drop-down box
• From: choose the from the date from the drop-down box
• To: choose the to date from the drop-down box
• Nights: free type the number of nights for this rate
• Rate: free type in the rate price

Next, select the allowed arrival days for that specific rate, the time period, and press the run wizard button.

This will add your rates to the WBE.

To see what rates you have added you can either click on the list view tab 

or Grid view tab.
