At the end of this article you will be able to:
- Retrieve the rate plan code you need

- Add a rate plan to a channel manager
- Check WBE report
- Troubleshoot
If you are adding a rate plan or rooms to HART WBE please see the relevant guide as this guide is for third-party channel managers.
It is assumed that you already have your third-party channel manager account set up in HART PMS if not then please contact HART support.
Rate plan code
First, create the rate plan in the usual way. The code that was free-typed in the code field is the code you need to map to the rate plan in the channel manager.
Please note that codes should be kept short and simple, with no spaces or special characters. They must also be unique.
Room Type code
Next, you need the room types that are in this rate plan. To retrieve these codes navigate to Configuration> Reservations and the Types tab.
With the room types highlighted at the top either right-click add an entry in the bottom window, choose the channel manager, and type a code for the room types or ensure this is connected to the channel you need, then retrieve the code for the room type already here.
Note: we recommend for ease, to choose the same room code that you have set for the room type in HART PMS |
The above codes are the code that you need to map to the channel manager.
Next, navigate to the rate plan, and under the channel tab right-click and choose the channel manager from the drop-down box.
Under Sales > Restrictions press the Sync button and run an availability and rate sync for the period and channel you need.
To check the rates have been mapped correctly, navigate to Reports> Sales > Web availability rate select the channel manager from the drop-down, and run.
Best practice
If you have a rate pan that is no longer active we advise that you remove the channel manager from the channel tab in the rate plan. You should remove the channel prior to marking the rate plan inactive.
Please note: changing room mappings can cause significant issues if done incorrectly. It should not be attempted unless you are sure you understand the process.
Troubleshooting
My rates are not updating
- Run a small sync for the dates that are incorrect.
- Check for any restrictions under Sales > Restriction.
- If the rate plan has a level check the levels that are set in the Sales matrix are in the rate plan
- Do you have any overlapping periods in the rate plan?
