Configuring Rate Levels

By the end of this article you will  be able to;


  • Create basic rate levels
  • Create rate levels to be used with the occupancy matrix
  • Create levels by room type to be used with the occupancy room type matrix


Create basic rate levels

Rate levels are used in conjunction with the rate matrix to yield your rates. To set up your levels, navigate to  Configuration > Reservations and the level tab In the bottom left box, right-click and add a new entry to build your levels.


  • Code: Free type up to  3 digits which will show on the rate matrix. 
  • Level: Free type the full name of the level
  • Colour: Double click on this field to select your colour for each level.
  • Deposit Policy: if you wish to flag a different deposit policy for higher room rates. You can choose between No Deposit, Credit Card or Deposit


Press F3 or save to save your changes.

You have now created your basic rate levels that can be applied to your rate plans.

Follow the steps above adding in the number of the occupied rooms you wish each level to have in the occupied rooms field. For example, you may wish level 1 rates to be applied if you have between 0 and 10 rooms occupied if this is your lowest level.

You can then take it one step further by setting the range of occupied rooms for room types. if using the room type matrix. To do this highlight your level on the left-hand side then by right clicking and adding an entry choose your room type from the drop-down box and add in the range of occupied rooms in the occupied room column.
